Part Time Events & Operations Coordinator
Job Overview: We are seeking an organized and driven Operations Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our day-to-day operations as well as events and floral design projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various operational aspects, from event planning and vendor coordination, to staffing and studio management. You will work with both our floral studio and sister event planning company.
This is a part-time position, with the possibility of becoming full time
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events and floral design projects, ensuring they align with our company's creative vision and client expectations
- Coordinate logistics such as event staffing, setup, and breakdown, while adhering to project timelines and budgets
- Act as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and ensure all parties are aligned throughout the planning and execution process
- Monitor and manage project budgets and expenses, tracking costs and ensuring financial targets are met
- Support the on-site management of events and floral installations, addressing any unforeseen challenges and maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts, suggesting and implementing new strategies to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in event planning or related roles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules
- Creative flair and an eye for design, understanding the importance of aesthetics in event planning and floral arrangements
- Graphic design and/or floral design experience a plus
Details:
Pay: From $23.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, events on weekends with applicable
Lead Floral Designer
We’re looking for a skilled and creative florist to join the Plum Sage team. It’s essential that you have familiarity with a wide variety of flowers and preparation techniques, from daily arrangements to complex onsite installations. You should also have excellent customer service skills, as some of your time will be spent working directly with our clients. We’re looking for a team player who’s motivated, detail-oriented, and who, most importantly, loves working with flowers.
Responsibilities:
- Consulting, selling, managing, and leading weddings and events from start to finish
- Planning and designing high-end arrangements according to client's requirements, utilizing knowledge of design and properties of materials
- Constantly staying ahead of industry trends and processes
- Ordering and purchasing flowers and supplies from wholesalers and growers
- Working with clients and vendors throughout each event
- Delivering arrangements to customers as needed
- Performing office and retail service duties such as keeping financial records, serving customers, answering telephones, and receiving payment
- Performing general cleaning duties in the store to ensure the studio is clean and tidy
- Being adaptable to a flexible work schedule that requires weekend and holiday availability as well as overnights as needed
Qualifications:
- MUST possess 3+ years of PROFESSIONAL floral design experience in weddings and events - please note this is not an entry-level position
- Ready to work varied 40+ hour shifts, including weekends and select holidays
- Knowledge of fresh floral products and design techniques
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility, punctuality, teamwork, and cleanliness
- Be willing to travel and possess reliable transportation; occasional overnights for out-of-town weddings and events
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Colorado Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to climb ladders to high onsite installs
- Must be available weekends and select holidays
